Food safety course

February 1, 2015

The Irishtown Community Centre will be offering a food safety course, using the BASIC .FST program.

This program has been recognised by the Department of Health. More details are available at the following link: http://www2.gnb.ca/content/dam/gnb/Departments/h-s/pdf/en/HealthyEnvironments/Food/FoodHandlerRecognizedCourses.pdf

This course will provide all of the foundation knowledge required to handle and serve food safely. The course has a cost of $70 and it includes the course book, 8 hour program, the examination test, and a wallet card.

Once an individual has completed (and passed) this course, they will be certified for 5 years.

This will be taking place on February 21st. The exact start time will be confirmed with the participants but the complete course will take the full day.

If you are interested in food safety for your home or you are involved in any service that serves the public and you are not certified, you should take this opportunity to take the course while it is being offered locally.

There are a limited number of spaces remaining for this course so please get back to us soon to reserve your spot.

This program is part of our commitment to the community to bring awareness and support general food safety.
